
Hector Rivas is an American entrepreneur and NFLPA-certified sports agent based in Sammamish, Washington. He is a co-founder of ThriftBooks, a used book retailer that grew to become one of the largest of its kind in the United States under his leadership as chief executive officer from 2004 to 2014. His next venture was EcoGoodz, a used goods and overstock brokerage firm he founded in 2013 in Issaquah, Washington. He also co-founded Disruptive Sports, a minority-owned sports agency representing NFL and NCAA athletes, in 2020. His latest venture, Nukleus, is a career operating system built for professional athletes, which he founded and leads as chief executive officer.
Rivas was born in Washington, D.C. His family is of Guatemalan heritage. He attended Gaithersburg High School in Gaithersburg, Maryland and earned a bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah, with an emphasis in marketing. He is a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and resides in Sammamish, Washington with his wife. He and his wife are the parents of four sons.
