
Rivas was the primary funder of the agency. He brought his background as a founder and operator to the business, with a focus on building systems, hiring the right people, and scaling the operation. The agency grew to more than 100 clients across collegiate and professional sports and raised $1 million in a pre-seed round that closed in 2024.
Disruptive Sports represented NFL players including New England Patriots wide receiver Kendrick Bourne. The agency negotiated brand partnerships and equity deals for its athletes, including an NFT collaboration and a custom Nike Air Force One project for Bourne. Ohio State tight end Gee Scott Jr. signed with the agency in August 2021.
Rivas became a certified NFLPA agent in 2023. He represents cornerback Cormani McClain, the No. 1 ranked cornerback and No. 2 overall prospect in the 2023 recruiting class. Rivas confirmed McClain’s transfer from the University of Colorado to the University of Florida to ESPN, AP News, and ABC News in May 2024.
In April 2023 Rivas participated as a panelist in the first NIL colloquium held in Seattle, hosted at Seattle University’s School of Law and organized by the Pacific Northwest Academy of Legal Studies in Business. The event brought together subject matter experts including the Assistant Attorney General of the University of Washington and was open to lawyers, faculty, athletic department executives, and sports marketing professionals.
